Monarch Machine Tool Expands VMC-RTB Optional Features Monarch Machine Tool Company announces the additional option of a turning table for its long established VMC-RTB machine series. The VMC-RTB machine series has long been accepted as the ideal platform for machining large aircraft engine rings, wheels, and large bearing cages. The turning table option will offer a 50" diameter platen with variable rotation speed up to 300 RPM and providing positioning accuracy of +/- 5 arc seconds. This option will enhance the VMC-RTB's versatility by now offering the ability to perform finish turning operations along with the standard machining center features of drilling, milling, tapping, and boring. The RTB line is also available with an optional X axis allowing it to perform full 4 axis simultaneous machining operations. The new standard horsepower of 37.5 continuous and 50 HP peak for 30 minutes have been incorporated into the VMC RTB machine series. |
