Monarch Introduces New Zonal and Gantry Machining Center Product Lines
The Monarch Machine Tool Company has added a full line of traveling column and
bridge-type machining centers. The addition of these machines complements the Monarch line
of VMCs.
The availability of these machining centers to the North American market is the result
of a strategic alliance recently formed between Monarch and Unisign B.V., an established
Dutch machine tool manufacturer in Panningen, The Netherlands. Bailey stated that the new
products now available represent a significant addition to the seventeen models of
vertical machining centers currently offered by the company.
The unique advantage of the new Monarch Zonal Traveling Column and Traveling Gantry
machining centers is work-zone flexibility. The work envelope can be used as a single,
large work zone, or as dual independent work zones that offer easy access for loading and
unloading components. Options include high-speed spindles, 4th and 5th axis rotary tables,
as well as carousel turning stations.
The Zonal Traveling Column series of machines offers X-axis travel ranges from 63"
to 708". The Traveling Gantry series of machines offers a work envelope from 78"
to 708" in the X-axis, and 39" to 181" in the Y-axis. Selected machine
models feature 40- and 50-taper spindles with traveling tool magazines.
