Monarch Machine Tool announces a new version of it's VMC-RTB product. The VMC-RTB-T features a fully integrated contouring tilt axis and spindle assembly allowing the machine spindle to operate in any position from vertical to horizontal. This axis can be programmed as a full contouring axis or positioned and hydraulically clamped for heavy machining cuts. This eliminates the need for large rotary tilt tables with large part overhang. The X-axis option is also available on the VMC-RTB-T series machine for a full 5 axis machine platform. The RTB series machines were originally designed for machining large circular parts in a vertical plane. The addition of the tilt axis now allows for secondary operations on the outside diameter of the part as well as the top surface. Multiple spindle speed options are available based on customer's requirement. |
