Vertical Turning Option The Monarch Machine Tool Company announces the release of a U-Axis head option on the company's line of vertical machining centers. This will allow the vertical machining center to perform many of the turning and grooving operations previously done on lathes. On parts with multiple diameters, tooling costs are reduced by having one tool programmable for turning multiple diameters. This tool can perform internal or external operations. For those operations which would require multiple heads a tool change mechanism is available for the heads. |
